Entrepreneur Week is headed to Brazil. From the 22nd to the 26th of October, Entrepreneur Week Brazil will sweep Rio de Janeiro, bringing together the local entrepreneurial community as well as figures from around the globe.
The five-day event will commence on Monday, October 22nd with opening remarks from Entrepreneur Week Founder Gary Whitehill. From there, the week’s agenda will be set in motion.
Each day will be hosted by a different Master of Ceremonies and feature discussion panels, keynote speeches and other events for attendees to enjoy. Leaders within the Brazilian entrepreneurial ecosystem are slated to speak, including Rodolpho Gurgel of Peixe Urbano, Juliano Tubino of Amazon and Andreas Mirow of McKinsey. Entrepreneurial education, the lean startup method, social entrepreneurship, funding and technological trends will be among the themes discussed during the week. The agenda is pretty full – have a look at the complete program here.
As with most tech events these days, Entrepreneur Week Brazil will feature a pitch competition, Pitch Inferno, during which entrepreneurs will have a chance to present their projects to a group of angel investors, VCs and accelerators. At the end of the day on Friday, contest winners will be announced and awarded a wide array of prizes (the details of which are yet to be revealed). Registration to have a chance to participate remains open.
Numerous opportunities for networking will be made available to attendees on each day of the event, whether during meals, breaks, or separately organized events. On Wednesday, Geeks on Beer will host a networking session, and on Thursday, a 30-minute Networking Round Robin will be held. And attendees won’t want to miss Friday evening’s Entrepreneur Week Brazil closing festivities and party.
Inscriptions to attend are still open, with both day and week passes available as well as discounted tickets for students. You can reserve your spot here. And for more information about Entrepreneur Week, visit www.entrepreneurweek.net.
